STEDCO Today

Today, STEDCO is a Texas Non-Profit Corporation continuing to increase its role in the development of the Stephenville community and the surrounding area.

Throughout this history, STEDCO and it's predecessors have never received any funding from the City of Stephenville or Erath County, and has stood as an entity run by a volunteer Board of Directors.

STEDCO members believe in economic growth and the free enterprise system. This belief, along with the organization's membership base, provides a strong foundation for STEDCO's continued success in contributing to the area's economic development.

STEDCO's Board of Directors includes members of area industry, local financial institutions, and community leaders. The Stephenville City Manager, The Stephenville Chamber of Commerce President / CEO, and other local officals are invited to attend the STEDCO Board meetings and report on relevant issues. By keeping a broad range of individuals on its Board, STEDCO hopes to gain from a variety of perspectives.

STEDCO's Mission is:

"To promote and improve business and economic conditions in the City of Stephenville as well as Erath County and the surrounding trade territory by providing innovative leadership and economic aid to existing and potential industries."
